A new generation of cutting-edge technology, "Deep Ultraviolet LED (light emitting diode)" can release germicidal effect, and the naked eye can not see the light. This bactericidal light is called deep ultraviolet light. What is being developed in the field of LED is the release of "UV-C," the type of light that emits 100 to 280 nm (nanometer, nanometer, 1 parts per billion).


The power of deep ultraviolet rays has been confirmed. Deep ultraviolet radiation can directly act on the basis of life, DNA, which basically cuts off the multiplication of bacteria. The development of deep ultraviolet technology is mainly in the United States, Japan, Korea and other countries. In 2014, Chi Chi Yong and Amano Hiroinno developed the blue LED and won the Nobel prize in physics. With the source of Nobel technology, Japan is now at the forefront of deep ultraviolet development. The United States is in the lead in deep ultraviolet research. The representative enterprise is the SETI company in the United States. But in recent years, it has been overtaken by Japan. South Korean manufacturers Seoul semiconductor and LG Innotek are also developing UV LED. At the same time, the Japanese information and Communication Research Institute (NICT) announced that the newly developed deep ultraviolet (UV) LED of the wavelength 265nm realized the continuous luminescence of the output power as high as 90mW/cm2, which was sufficient to meet the practical requirements. In order to seize the growing market, through improving luminous efficiency, establishing mass production technology, and realizing the goal of cost, the world has set off a fierce competition in technology development.
