For a lot of UVLED people do not understand, so easy to understand is the ultraviolet LED, LED lights so many, why do you want to choose UVLED?
First, let's say what UVLED is different from common LED.
The composition of UVLED (UV LED) is made up of one or more InGaN quantum wells sandwiched in the thin GaN sandwich structure, and the active region is overlying. By changing the relative proportion of InN-GaN in the InGaN quantum well, the emission wavelengths can be changed from violet light to other light. AlGaN can be used to make the layer and quantum well layer in UVLED by changing the AlN ratio, but the efficiency and maturity of these devices are poor. If the active quantum well layer is GaN, and InGaN or AlGaN alloy is relative to it, the spectrum range of the device is 350~370nm.
When the blue InGaN light emitting diode pump has a short electronic pulse, it produces ultraviolet radiation. Nitrogen compounds containing aluminum, especially AlGaN and AlGaInN, can make devices with shorter wavelengths and obtain a series of wavelengths of UVLED. The diode with wavelength up to 247nm has been commercialized. The LED based on AlN and 210nm ultraviolet radiation has been successfully developed, and the 250~270nm band UVLED is also developing vigorously.
UV LED, a new type of ultraviolet light output light source, has a strong advantage compared with the traditional ultraviolet light source such as mercury lamp and hernia lamp. The main features are as follows:
(1) the number of opening and closing does not affect the service life, while the ultraviolet radiation intensity of the traditional UV lamp is decreased with the increase of the total opening times and the ignition time.
(2) long service life, more than 20000 hours, the life of the traditional ultraviolet light source is 100-1000 hours.
(3) high efficiency and energy saving, the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the traditional ultraviolet light source is 60%.
(4) spectral concentration, ultraviolet light accounts for more than 98% of all optical output, and there is no infrared radiation attached to the traditional light source.
(5) small volume, the volume is only 2.5px3, can be assembled into various forms of light array, applied to different needs;
(6) the narrowing of the main wave peak is single: 90% the output of the upper light is concentrated in the range of + 10nm near the main wave peak.
(7) DC low voltage drive: suitable for portable UV equipment;
(8) the output power is stable and continuously adjustable.
(9) instant light: no preheating time is needed, and response time is microsecond;
(10) environmental protection: no mercury, no heavy metal pollution.
No matter how to correctly select and use the power of light source is very important. We should also pay attention to a series of problems such as choosing the appropriate light source and band according to the UV glue, and the advantages need to be displayed.
