LG Innotek recently announced plans to launch the brand InnoUV.

InnoUV, which combines "innovation" and "ultraviolet", plans to be used in 40 of its existing UV LED packaging and modules.

LG Innotek said InnoUV reflected LG Innotek's goal of enhancing UV LED sterilization. Its 100mW uv-c LED (released last November) is estimated to eliminate 99.9% of salmonella in 3.4 seconds (salmonella is a cause of food poisoning).

LG Innotek said that after prior consultation with LG Innotek, the InnoUV brand logo could be used on the appearance, packaging and promotional materials of its UV LED finished products.

UV leds eliminate bacteria and viruses (depending on their wavelength) due to their ability to react with specific substances and can be used for water, air and surface sterilization, medicine, biotechnology and curing and lighting equipment. UV leds are environmentally friendly because they glow without using any chemicals or heavy metals. They are also highly available due to their long service life, high durability and small appearance.

According to the set consulting LED research center (LEDinside) newly released "2018 - curing UV LED application market report, health care, sterilization", according to a 2016-2017, visible to the UV LED products actively in various applications, according to the manufacturer's sales performance, UV LED market output growth in 2017 to $223 million, estimates will reach $1.224 billion in 2022, 2017-2022 annual compound growth rate of 33%.

In addition to the stable growth of the solidified market, surface sterilization, static water sterilization and flow water sterilization are the main growth momentum in the next five years (2018-2022).
